SOCIAL APP.

PROBLEM STATEMENT.

Over the past decade, the social media landscape has undergone a rapid transformation. New platforms have emerged, while existing ones have evolved at an astonishing pace. This constant change has created a multitude of options for users.

Despite the wealth of options, the influence of social media algorithms is worrisome. They've transformed content presentation but stifled creativity. Users are flooded with ads and unwanted content and scams which harm the user experience.

SOLUTION.

The Space is an innovative platform that will revolutionize the way designers connect with their audiences in the ever-changing digital landscape. It empowers users to curate their own design journey, offering customizable features and an intuitive interface.

Additionally, social media platforms should foster communities where creativity can thrive. By providing spaces for designers to connect with like-minded individuals, share their work, and engage in meaningful conversations, platforms can support the creative process and enable designers to find inspiration.

Through The Space, designers can share their projects, creative processes, and inspirations, while fostering connections The platform also encourages collaboration and unique partnerships across different design disciplines.

INTERACTIVE FEATURE.

The Portal.

The portal is a place where users can personalize their icon with colors and gradients. No profile picture. Users will be reminded to change it every 24 hours.

This will take away the distraction of profile pictures and social media tendencies. The main focus will be colors and mood and give the user daily interaction with the app.

VISUAL RESEARCH. INSPIRATION.

Inspiration.

When thinking about the theme and look of the app, it's important to explore what works in other apps that grab the user's attention and make it simple to get around.

  • Visually pleasing

  • Mental Health

  • Diversity

  • Easy to Navigate

  • Stress Free

VISUAL RESEARCH. COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS.

Researching competitors is important in the development process. By gathering information from articles, surveys, and personal interactions, I have identified their strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities for improvement. Based on my findings, I will integrate the positive aspects of social media that people value and remove any elements that are not beneficial to our goals.

PERSONAS. END USERS.

In our community, we have three types of people: a student studying design, a professor who teaches design, and a designer specializing in user interface and user experience. They all have one thing in common - the desire for a place to connect, get inspired, and stay updated on design trends. This space is open to all creative individuals, not just designers. If you're interested in design and looking to discover some cool profiles, all creatives welcome!

CONCLUSION. NEXT STEPS.

Creating The Space has taught me about the concepts and research required for a successful UX design. Understanding user needs expanded my knowledge of creating a successful app. The next step is researching how to launch the app. There is more work to be done, but with a solid idea and proper research, The Space will provide valuable content without ads or algorithms, tailored to each user. Created by designers for designers!
